This is a unique hand-madetable lamp modeled around the internal components of a 1940s Radioreceiver. Designed for that retro,machine age, steampunk, vintage radio style.
The base is the chassis ofan authentic Sonora brand radio (this was reclaimed from an old radio unit thatwas too rough to be a viable restoration). The steel chassis has beenrefurbished and the various valves and other components cleaned, re-finishedand polished.
The lamp on/off switch isthe original bakelite tuning knob. The original internal aerial, a fantasticart-deco coiled copper structure ismounted at the rear of the chassis and the whole assembly sits on the originalstained and lacquered wooden cabinet top re-purposed as a base.
The lamp features a retrostyle \"Edison\" bulb and comes with shade mounting prongs ready if youchoose to add a shade of your choice.
