Takaragai Japanese Yoni Amulet Money Charm Benzaiten Omamori:
$25.00

This beautiful Japanese \"omamori\" amulet is called a Takaragai (\"cowrie shell\") and is dedicated to the Japanese Goddess Benzaiten. The front of the coin depicts a stylized yoni (female anatomy) and is said to \"give birth\" to prosperity and fortune for those who wear or carry it on their person. It is about the size of a quarter with a hole at the center. The back of the coin has \"Benzaiten\" and \"Chokenji\" written in Japanese. This amulet is only sold at the Buddhist Chokenji Temple in Kyoto, Japan. I am close friends with the Temple Abbot and he has authorized me to sell these precious amulets in the west.
The amulet is made of a sturdy silver metal alloy. I have set the coin in a silver colored bezel with an 18\" matching chain so that it is easy to wear as a pendant necklace on a daily basis. However, if you would prefer I send you the amulet without the setting or chain, please send me a message (same price). The amulet is accompanied by documentation in English and Japanese explaining the history and the meaning of the amulet.
