This ink pot is from the Dayak Kayan tribe in the Borneo Island. The figure is beautifully carved with a position that is most interesting. The seated female with elongated ears in traditional styleembracesthe bowl with it\'s arms and legs almost wrapped around the body of the ink pot. Great care has been taken to clearly delineate facial features hands, ears, legs, and arms which are clearly defined when viewed in profile.
