Offered for sale: A pretty little hand-painted creamer marked \"Te-Oh China / Hand Painted Nippon\" with a light green mark. The body is embossed with swirls, and has a wide gold beaded floral band around the rim, gold on the arched handle, and pink roses with beaded centers and green leaves below the gold band. The creamer measures 2.5 inches high at the top of the handle, 5 inches from spout tip to handle end, and 4 inches by 3.5 inches across the foot ring.

This piece is in good condition. There are no chips or cracks or crazing. The gold is very worn, as you can see from the pictures, both around the rim and on the sides and tip of the handle (there was also a gold band around the foot, which is completely worn off). The hand-painted pink flowers are solid and intact, as is the beaded gold trim.

The bottom center has a raised star. The mark itself is a bit worn. You can only see part of the N and I, and the P for Nippon. I\'ve seen a lot of fake Nippon marks recently where the original mark had been scuffed off and a new mark added; this mark shows none of that. I believe Te-Oh is a well-recognized Nippon producer from pre-1921.
