Printed signature at lower right \"Milton Caniff at \'30\", art was done for an Ohio State University publication (Mr. Caniff\'s Alma Mater). Proof is hand autographed in ink at bottom to me \"For Charlie Roberts who keeps me in line ! Best- Milton Caniff N.Y. Oct. 83\". Obtained in person. At the time this was autographed, my wife Joan and I had recently moved to San Diego. I was ruling the lines for \"Steve Canyon letterer Shel Dorf, and my wife was transcribing Shel\'s interviews for \"The Comic\'s Buyer\'s Guide\". Minor handling creases in blank margins, image area otherwise bright and excellent. Superb for framing.
