This is a fine original painting by well-known British illustrator Steve Crisp, commissioned for the cover of Jack Vance\'s SF novel \"Throy\" - one in his popular \"Arminta Station\" series of books, and the 3rd novel in his \"Cadwal Chronicles\" - published by Hodder Staughton, 1992 (cover shown for reference). This is a highly detailed and colorful work featuring Crisp\'s beautiful pastel palette, the photos just can\'t capture the delicacy of this work. Done in gouache, inks and airbrush on illustration board, 22\" x 31\" plus comes custom matted and framed in \"wraparound\" format - note that the front cover of the book shows only the right half of the full painting - with the left portion appearing on the book\'s back cover. This painting comes custom matted and framed - see photo - and is one of the artist\'s best in technique. Paintings of this high quality by this artist from this time period rarely come on the market these days - and you won\'t find any at this price - so if you want a bargain on this great piece you\'ll have to act this week...
