This First 2007 Presidential Washington Dollar is no longer being struck by the United States Mint, making it even rarer.

On Feb. 10, 2007, Barack Obama announced his candidacy so a 2007 Dollar coin is exceptionally appropriate.

The coin is colorized privately, using a patented technology because the U.S. Mint does not have the capability to colorize coins.

One coin struck in .770 copper, 120 zinc, .070 manganese, and .040 nickel.

The mint mark is on the edge, along with the incuse lettering “In God We Trust,” “E Pluribus Unum,” and the year of issue.

The coin comes in a protective capsule and black presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The certificate features an authorized facsimile signature of Barack Obama.Also includes Hawaii State Quarter, birthplace of Barack Obama and a District of Columbia Territory Quarter, location of the home of the President of the United States.
