\"The Clayton (New Mexico) Story\" is F. Stanley\'s brief history of an historic old northEastern New Mexico city. It is a 42-page, 5 1/2\" x 8 1/2\" stapled booklet published by the author in the early 1960s (no date is stated, but he was actively producing these little books then). He later restricted his issues to 400 or 500 copies, but this one carries no such claim. This copy is very nice with no damages. There are no dog-eared pages, markings or tears. The author has signed this copy on the upper-left corner of the inside front cover. Also --- laid-in is a signed teaser letter from Stanley to the original buyer of the book dated 3/25/61. This book will be packed and shipped in our bulletproof manner. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad for their restoration and maintenance projects.
