The Fellowship Of The Ring by J R R Tolkien.

This hardback book is a 2nd UK edition and 9th impression with it being published in 1974 by George Allen And Unwin.

The book is in good condition for its age.

It comes housed in its original dust jacket which has not been price clipped. There is some light edge creasing and wear to the jacket and the jacket is slightly loose fitting. Corners are lightly rubbed.

Internally, the book is also good. All pages are clean and fully legible albeit yellowed through age. The outer prelims show some yellow age spotting in places. Page extremities are also a little yellowed with some markings/staining present. The red top stain to the top of the page block is faded and there is a lean to the book - please see photos.

The book is free from writing, inscriptions or annotations.

The book also contains the usual pull out map at the rear which is also in great condition.

 Overall, a good early copy of this collectable book.
