The Fort Conrad (New Mexico) Story by F. Stanley - Rare - Out-of-Print 1961:
$9.95

"The Fort Conrad (New Mexico) Story" is F. Stanley's brief history of an historic central New Mexico Civil War era military post near Socorro. It is a 20-page, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" stapled booklet published in May, 1961 by the author. These little books were later limited to 400 or 500 copies, although this one carries no such claim. This copy is very nice with no damages except for some acid-browning on the rear of the back cover caused by a newspaper article in contact. There are no dog-eared pages, markings (there is a penciled price on page one) or tears. The author has signed this copy on the upper-left corner of the inside front cover. Also -- laid-in is a newspaper article (likely the culprit of the browning) about nearby Fort Craig, another Civil War era military post. The photos are of the actual book. This book will be packed and shipped in our bulletproof manner. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad for their restoration and maintenance projects.
