Condition:
Volume I: the cover has some edge/corner/surface wear; front free endpaper has name & date (1884) in ink; spine is cracked at frontispiece (see photo 4); the pages are unmarked and most are clean, but there are some scattered small/light stains; pages 364-364 have some edge tears (see photo 8).
Volume II: the cover has some edge/corner/surface wear; the front hinge is cracked (see photo 9); the pages are unmarked and most are clean, but there are some scattered small/light stains; the spine is cracked at page 374.
