I believe this to be a vintage Alva Museum Studios REPLICA of The Lincoln Memorial, the original of which, of course, was done by sculptor Daniel Chester French. (no zip code on the sticker on the bottom). Marked on the back DC French June 1915, c Alva Studios. Not sure of the materials used to create the statue itself. A magnet does NOT stick to the surface of the piece. A lovely patina with a brass-style finish. The base seems to be walnut.

The statue itself is measuring 9 1/2\" High, 6 1/2\" in length and 6 1/2\" deep. The wood base measures 8\" square and 1 3/4\" High. So, the top of his head to the very bottom of the base measures 11 3/4\" High. This statue appears to be a mirror image of the actual Lincoln Memorial, Lincoln as he is in the National Mall in Washington, DC, part of the back drop for Martin Luther King Jr.\'sspeech I Have A Dream.

Condition: I have NOT cleanedthe statue. He has some dust and what may be light soil in the crevices, folds, where one would expect to see it. There is a small chip along the right bottom side of the base of the sculpture, toward the back, measuring 1/8\" in length. On the very back of his chair, to the left, is a smallrub mark of loss, measuring3/8\" long X 2/8\" High(see pic). The top left corner of his chair has a circular chip measuring 1/8\" round. What appears to be his left pinky finger has the smallest of a flea bite to it (meaning a barely there, smallest of a chip). There are also 2 very small paint droplets as someone had left him in a vulnerable place while they painted a room (dark gold, almost orange in color- see the picture of the right side of Lincoln\'s chair).
