The story of his day-by-day with the plane and other Douglas aircraft, is the substance of this book \"The Lonely Sky\". Aside from a few nicks and bumps, which are mainly confined to the dust jacket as usual, this First Edition of \"The Lonely Sky\" is actually very healthy. The pages are slightly discolored from the aging process and the boards are nice and clean. The price has been clipped and there is a signature of a precious owner on the inside of the front board. There are the ever so present wrinkles of the top and bottom of the spine. The mylar covering for the dust jacket isn\'t all that fresh, but it\'s doing it\'s job.
