Elias Mandel Grossman: Born in Russia, Elias MandelGrossman immigrated to the United States at an early age. Settling in Brooklyn(Columbia Heights), he studied art at the Educational Alliance Art School, theCooper Union and the Art Students\' League of New York. By the mid 1920\'sGrossman was establishing a solid reputation for his etched and engraved viewsof New York City and other major American centers.
