Here we offer a 1987 facsimile of the 1900 first edition of L Frank Baum\'s classic,The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published by George M. Hill Company, New York, here recreated by Harper Collins as part of their \"Books of Wonder\" series. This was an extravagant book when published so it is a particularly attractive facsimile: large, cloth cover, decorative endpapers, very high quality paper, placeholding ribbon, gilted page edges all the way around (to keep dust out), with all decorations and all 24 color plates. Comes with a color laminated map of the lands of Oz.

In excellent, lightly shelfworn condition, with a withered end on the placeholding ribbon. Perhaps unread. 267 pages, measures approximately 8.5 x 6.75-inches.
