The specific product info will be pasted below and much of it can be found on COA as well. This production from Theo features a deep jet black 24% crystal egg complimented elegantly with a bold 23K gold and enamel finish. Shows St. George on white horse slaying a gold dragon. It is topped with a crown and ruby. This is a solid egg, it is not hollow adding to depth of color. The picture is painted in a concave surface of egg.
The nice gold colored display case can be used to feature the egg or the interior base inside of case can be removed to take up less space for display if owner chooses.
This is a limited edition egg, #43 of only 750 made and available worldwide.
From a private collector who owned over 20 different Theo Faberge Eggs along with other expensive fine art from around the world. We obtained 10 of the eggs, 6 of 9 listed have sold and others to be sold soon. The owner paid approx $4,800 for the egg, plus tax, so around $5,100 total in 1991. In fact, most of the St Petersburg Collection Eggs retailed above $5000 when issued, many well above. That would be $8,500-$12,000 in today\'s dollars. $5100 in 1991 translates to about $9,200 today.
Selling at under half of Egg\'s original 1991 retail cost.
This Icon Egg was displayed in a smoke free home inside a glass enclosed display cabinet. Please look over all pictures & offer/buy based on your observations. You can use zoom feature if needed. We see no defects, but buyer should offer/buy based on pictures as we photographed from all sides. I read that these should only be gently cloth cleaned (dusted) when needed as they are fine art works. There may be some minor tarnish on crown, but it looks great as it is.
Comes with a Theo signed & dated COA & original display case. It is also numbered #43 & etch signed on the base.
Please let us know if you have other questions. Stay tuned for new listings. This is the only Icon Egg we have. If you buy more than one egg, perhaps we can do a group deal.
