Thomas Kinkade Reverse Painted Lighthouse Table Lamp For Sale
Thomas Kinkade Reverse Painted Lamp Lighthouse Scene
This is a beautiful lamp with 2 pull
chains each having the traditional Thomas Kinkade painter of Light and his lamp
post insignia on them. It is a table lamp and is reverse hand painted inside
the shade. The picture is of waves crashing the shoreline, a lighthouse and
beautiful stone cottage plus a winding path. The lamp has Thomas' famous
glowing light coming out of windows of both the cottage & the lighthouse,
lamps along the path and a glow in the stormy sky. It is beautiful and very inspirational. The
lamp is 23.5" tall. The shade is 9.5“ high and 15.5 " across. The top
screw of the lamp shade is the traditional Kinkade lamp post. The two pull
chains go to double light sockets. .
I purchased the lamp in 2003. It remained in the shipping box for 5 years and
has been adorning my home office since then.

Kinkade described his inspiration for "A Light in the
Storm":"
"To those who observe with a knowing eye and an
understanding heart, the natural world is rich with allegories of profound
spiritual truths.A Light in the Storm is a visual analogy to Jesus'
proclamation 'I am the Light of the World' (John 8:12). The ocean is wild with
the fury of the storm; waves break and toss in violent chaos. Above, a mighty
thunderhead looms: its menace seems to fill and dominate the entire sky. Who
has not experienced a time when the troubles and sorrows of life seemed as
overwhelming and inescapable as this brooding cloud and its angry sea? And yet,
the message of A Light in the Storm is entirely different, and rich in
consolation. Storm clouds blow away. But the rock of faith endures. And the
light of truth, symbolized by the secure lighthouse tower with its penetrating
beam, is a certain guide. This lighthouse will lead many a ship to safe harbor
in the storm, and the light of God's truth will guide those of us who venture
out on life's stormy seas to the safety of His eternal love." ~~Thomas
