Antique Victorian Napoleon III tiara. 18k gold, silver, diamonds. Made in Paris, France circa 1880. Comes in original, fitted box with transforming tool.

Measurements: Excluding the supporting structures, the diamond central section is approximately 5 inches (13cm) long and about 1 3/4 inches (4.5cm) top to bottom. Old mine cut and rose cut diamonds 2.44ct approximately.

Description: Metamorphosizing or transforming jewelry. Tiara that can be worn as a necklace or at least 2 brooches. Comes in original, fitted box from Paris with little jewelry tool to facilitate transformation.

Old mine cut diamonds surrounded by openwork silver over gold rose cuts in flowing, scrolling design. Very lovely and quality of workmanship is excellent. The jewel can be worn whole as a tiara or connected to a gold and diamond attachment and worn as a necklace. The jewel can be split into 3 parts. The central, large section with an attachment to wear as a brooch and the two side, scrolling sections that can be worn as another brooch. Please see pictures for examples of each possibility.

Marks: There are a number of hallmarks including the French eagle head mark for 18k gold. Found amongst other places on both pins and frame of brooch and on side of central diamond component as well as the backing/support for it.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don\'t hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
