Antique Tiffany & Co., Gilded Age, unusual large openwork, sterling silver .925, bonbon server, cast in high relief, in a floral scroll pattern, & is NOT monogrammed. The exquisite terminal is formed as a Lyre musical instrument, & the bowl has openwork flowers & scrolls. The only one I could find like it was donated to the Collection of the New York Historical Society by Isabel Shults, daughter of Caroline Beard Shults (barnard.edu). There is also a large piece, on page 282, figure 423, with a bowl much like this one, in the Tiffany Silver Flatware book by William P. Hood Jr. Theserver measures approximately 12 1/2 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide across the bowl, weighs 11.865 ozt., & is marked Tiffany & Co T (directorship Charles L. Tiffany) Sterling Silver. These large pieces were for containers for bonbons to be passed around by the handles.Theserver is in very good antique estate condition as follows;NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME LIGHT SCRATCHING & WEAR WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
