This is a wonderful, old, large and heavy Tiffany & Co. serving piece, probably a pie or cake server. I was unable to identify the pattern, so it may have been a special order. It has the style of the King William pattern with engraving, but that is the closest match that could be found.
It is beautifully andintricatelyengraved on both the handle and the serving area. It does have some wear in the serving area from use. The imperfections you see in the close up photo appear to be in the design-- they do not look like damage.
The serving piece measures 10¼\" long. Very heavy at over 3 ounces, it weighs 110.6 grams. It is stamped on the back of the handle TIFFANY & CO STERLING, and has what appears to be a small \"M\" stamp.
Such a solid, unique and beautiful piece, everything you serve with it will taste even better!
