Up for sale is one of my favorite pieces from my collection and it pains me to be selling it. Here we have an original Tiffany Studios 424 bronze lamp from the 1910\'s with an original andmagnificentribbed Steuben shade with a wonderful little Tiffany Tulip lamp shade as well. The Steuben shade is in great shape with no cracks or significant damage of any kind. The only damage is around the lip where the shade is held by the lamp. The smaller Tiffany studios shade is also an original and does not fit on this lamp in particular but on other models and is in MINT condition. This Steuben shade is 5 inches tall as well as 5 inches wide at the bell. It is absolutely beautiful while lit and is in great shape. The lamp itself is in BEAUTIFUL condition, unrestored and untouched. No one has tried to improperly clean or damage the piece in any way. The bronze is in great shape with wonderful patina as you can see from the photos. Please refer to the photos for your ultimatedecisionon the condition. The only thing mentionableis that the little ball feet on the bottom of the lamp; their are two missing but the lamp still safely balances and is not in danger of falling over.
I purchased this lamp at sale last year but it had some condition problems with the wiring. I had it professionally rewired so it is safe to plug in and keep plugged in, and theirs no concern for being shocked, or starting a house fire like it had previously been with the 100 year old wire. I also had to replace the socket because it has been pulled out too much one time and had got stuck in the on position so you could not turn the lamp off. Their is also a new plug and wire replaced on this lamp that are all period correct being a braided cord and it just looks stunning! It doesn\'s get better than this especially with its condition, and two shades that come along. The ribbed Steuben shade is beautiful lit up and the Tiffany studios lilly shade is a nice bonus included with this sale.
