Timber removed from the White House in 1927:
$78.77

We found this in an old box of things and thought it was interesting. It is a piece of wood that has a label on that says it\'s from the White House. As you can see in the pictures it isn\'t in perfect condition, but I found another online and the label reads:
Section of timber removed from the White House after 112 years of service
For 112 years during the residence of 26 presidents of the United States this fine piece of pine lumber helped support the roof of the executive mansion.
It was removed at the time of remodeling the White House in the summer of 1927 and was found to be in perfect condition.
It was originally built into the mansion during the residence of president James Madison in 1815 following it\'s burning from the British. It would have serviceability endured for hundreds of years more.
Presented by National Lumber Manufactuers Association\"The piece of wood is about 4 inches in length and about 3 inches in height and width.
