1/9 pl. tintype (possibly a melainotype, seals still intact), 2 3/8 x 2, plus mat, preserver and case. identified on plush and inside as P(eter) C. DuBois, 1858, Peekskill Academy. On paper on plush is also written killed 1863.

Peekskill Military Academy was a military academy for young men and women, founded in 1833 as Peekskill Academy, located in Peekskill, New York, United States.

Fine condition, Seals still intact, case complete . (see scan). Domestic post will be $3.00.
