Antique Tiny Oval Pin with Blue Stone.
This sweet little pin is oval and measures only 13/16 inch x 9/16 inch (see pictures with penny as reference to size). The brassy, gold tone metal is unmarked for metal content or maker. The blue stone shows some small chips and wear mainly around the top circular edge of the table. The metal shows a bit of wear but overall, looks nice. There are some small spots of greenish verdigris on the metal which I have not tried to remove. The front of the pin has an Art Nouveau look with a pretty swirled, intertwined design. The pin closes with an early C clasp. It is secure and a snap can be heard when tip is inserted. The pinning mechanism only opens to about 45 degrees as did many of the older pieces of that era. It is slightly bent but functions well. Makes a very pretty collar pin or perfect as an authentic accessory for an antique doll.
