Tiny Miniature Sample Tea Tin with Asian Scenes

This miniature sample tea tin is decorated with beautiful and ornate Asian scenes of women or geishas. It is branded F S Towle Co of NY on the bottom and dates to around 1905. Lid lifts off.

CONDITION:

The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear, some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, some small/minor dents and dings, etc.

Additional condition issues of note:

· Normal wear, some generalized small scratches.

· Mild-ish denting on lid, and some rippling on the top of the base where lid fits over.

· Pretty patina to tin.

· Light antique patina inside.

· Dark spot of wear on bottom, branding info difficult to see. Bottom wall seems firmly intact, no weakening due to this.

· FYI – the metal is rather thin.

· Tin opens and closes fine.

Approximate size of tin is about 1.5” by 1.5” at widest areas by about just under 2” tall.

The tin is empty.
