This adorable piece is a Victorian era (1870-1914) fairing/trinket box featuring three pug dogs on a log. It has the Conta & Boehme impressed stamp on the inside of the lid, as well as the number 18 (or maybe 48, hard to read). The base has a hand written mark underneath of which I know nothing. There is minimal wear, some rubs to the base, evident in the pictures. The gold on the collar tags is in good shape as is the rest of the paint on the dogs. No visible chips, cracks or repairs. I have not been able to find this box in any searches, so I am assuming it is quite rare. I\'m a pug collector, not a fairing collector, so possibly a more knowledgeable person will add some information on this piece. It measures 2-1/4\" tall X 2-1/4\" wide X 1-5/8\" deep.From a smoke free, pet-loving home.
