Description:Antique Towle cased, sterling silver .925, fluted, bright cut engraved, gold wash bowl, oyster serving ladle, in the 1895 Old Colonial pattern, by the designer Lucien D. Cole, which is NOT monogrammed. The bowl is gorgeously engraved Remember the of old, with a bicycle parked adjacent to a possible fallen tree or just a log with a road as background representing DAYS. The ladle measures approximately 10 3/4 inches long, weighs approximately 4.795 ozt., & is marked with the Towle Hallmark 925/1000, & with a partially worn sterling 1895 mark.The ladle is in very good antique estate condition;NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, WORN WASH, & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE. THE ENGRAVED MIDDLE OF BOWL FEATURES A BICYCLE ADJACENT TO A TREE LOG & BACKGROUND SURROUNDING IT IS A PATTERN & NOT SCRATCHING. STERLING MARK HAS WORN. CASE HAS WEAR & OPENS & CLOSES PROPERLY.
