This is a wonderful first edition of Trailing & Camping in Alaska, by Addison M. Powell. It was published in 1909 by A. Wesells. Thisbook describes an Alaska quite different from today. It is 377 pages of a hard to put down book; it will make you want to follow in the author\'s footsteps.The author travelled in the Copper River region, including trips into the Nabezna, Chitina, Tanana, and Susitna Rivers. It includes descriptions of the Ahtna Indians and of Skagway and Sitka.The latter portion of the book is interspersed with numerous hunting incidents, including mountain goat and sheep, bear and caribou. The book is in very good condition with just a bit of wear at the tips.
