Treasures From the Hoi An Hoard : Important Vietnamese Ceramics from a Late 15th/Early 16th Century Cargo
This is the two volumes of the Butterfields sales catalogues from Oct 2000 which featured the shipwrecked cargo of Hoi An, thousands of ceramics, all scanned and in pdf documents on one DVD.
Volume One is 258 pages and contains an article on the shipwreck and discovery, as well as the first part of the sale, covering barbed rim dishes, pouring vessels, bottles, jars, and enameled dishes.
Volume Two is 344 pages and like volume one is full colour and illustrates examples of every ceramic piece from the sale, covering shipware and concretions, blue and white dishes, bowls and cups, figural ceramics, boxes, and a comprehensive bibliography on the history and collecting of these pieces.
This has been scanned from the original catalogues, and although all the photos are in good quality to enable collectors identify their pieces, some of the text is a bit hard to read (see example), but this is still an excellent resource for collectors of these ceramics or anyone interested in shipwrecks.
