Trench Art Style Wood CarvedSpitfire 50 Caliber Shell Stand with Gold \"USA\" on the belly the Spitfire

Please refer to pictures provided for details of this wood aircraft. The tail section shows several areas where there is damage to the left elevator & some damage that looks reglued and still slightly split, there is a nick in the top of the tail. Right wingtip shows slight nicks. The USA Letters on the bottom of the aircraft are Gold in color: real gold? Gold Plate...I don\'t know. Regardless it is a very small amount of metal. The Nose conw is metal, the guns on the leading edge of the wings are round metal. The post sticking out of the 50 cal shell is slightly bent to allow the aircraft to have that nose down attitude while resting on the post. The wings look like they were a separate carved piece and were affixed to the fuselage as it looks as if the tail section was also glued to the fuselage. Overall its a really cool piece. I am being very critical of minor flaws to be fair to anybody that may have an interest in purchasing it. I think you will be pleased with its overall look...

The aircraft wingtip to wingtip is approximately 13 1/2\" - The aircraft is 11\" long - from the table to the top of the tail (while on the stand) the aircraft is 11 1/2\" tall

*Note: Somebody wrote a note and indicated this was a Spitfire aircraft (I had listed it as a P-40) and after further review I too think it actually may be a Spitfire...sorry for any confusion on aircraft identification
