The crown brooch is part of Trifari\'s \"Coronation Series\" made in 1953to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II ascendancy to the British Throne. Designed by Alfred Philippe, Trifari\'s head designer from 1930 to 1968. Any item from this collection is so rare to come across, especially the crown. I\'ve owned this piece for quite a few years now and has been stored for quite some time. It\'s in beautiful, brilliant condition, except for a tiny pock mark in the red enamel at the top right if you are facing it. It can be seen in the first photo if you use the magnifier. About the size of a pinhead and doesn\'t detract from the exceptional quality and beauty of this brooch. All \"jewels\" are tight in their setting and there are none missing. The top cross, which tends to be missing from others I\'ve seen for sale, is perfect. It is signed Trifari across the back bottom piece. The brooch is extremely well-made and has weight to it. It measures a bit over an inch.
