OLDS Ambassador model trombone made at the Los Angeles plant in very nice unrestored condition. Beautiful use of nickel and brass throughout.

The condition is Hand polished brass made in the 1940s serial 48XXX about 1949-50 or so. This instrument is in very nice unrestored condition. Olds models from this era are Very solid instruments. After receiving this trombone the first thing that was done was a cleaning of the slide tubes, inside and out. The slide action is good, after a quick oiling the slide worked near perfect after 60 + years. Some age marks, small, on the bell area, the stockings look really nice, show no wear. tune slide works perfect. The lacquer on the trombone was mostly gone over the entire horn so it was hand polished, it is in great shape, beautiful! Engraving nice and sharp, no indication of any buffing over the past 60+ years ....

There are some signs of use/age. a small nick/scratch here and there, some dings maybe the size of the head of a pin. That\'s it, a very nice trombone. I installed a new water key pad.

The original case is in fair shape for shipping the instrument. This is one of the better original Olds trombones I\'ve seen. Great compression, you will love playing this instrument.
