Two (2) individual silver and wood salt spoons by William Spratling. They date from the mid-1960s and are marked correctly. They are silver and ebony and measure 2 3/4\" in length.
William Spratling was thegenius designer and silversmithingentrepreneur who breathed new life into the silver industry in Taxco, Mexico beginning in the early 1930s. Many maestros began working for him and fine-tuning their design and craft skills before venturing out on their own careers...Antonio Pineda, Antonio Castillo and Hector Aguilar among them.
