Two Merco 49 Twin Plug Engines + Parts Vintage R/C LOT:

Two engines in good shape plus some parts. I bench ran the one with the peace pipe muffler. Very strong for an old cross-flow engine and what I really wanted to find out- a sweet slow idle. Those twin plugs work.

Engine with Peace Pipe: has marks on case and drive washer which indicate it hit the ground at some point. Crank is evidently straight because is runs smooth and true. Very good compression, hand started easy. Front bearing is not perfect, but it\'s not trashed either. Ran well on the bench. No plier marks on drive washer.

Engine with Tatone Pitts muffler: Very good compression, bearings feel smooth. No indication of hitting the ground. No plier marks on drive washer.

Parts engine: Piston and cylinder are scored. Rings look OK. Crankshaft is straight. Runout = .003\" (about as good as it gets on an old engine). Crankcase and head look ok. Carb is incomplete.

Very appropriate and reliable power for a vintage R/C project.
