Two Superb Large Rare Early 19thC Metallic Bronze/Gold Tassels on Long Cord Product Description

I\'m delighted to offer these superb large antique (Ibelieve c. 1800) metallic tassels.

The colour is a subtle bronze-gold.

The top of each tassel is made up of 5 separate wooden forms, which are coveredwith fine gold wire of different textures. The tassels have a bullionfringe, together with thickly-coiled wire \'caterpillars\' which, unusually, havea decorated wooden ball at the ends.

The tassels are joined to a thick wire covered cord and are in very goodcondition, with just a little wear on the cord in one place (see photo).

Each tassel is just under 8 inches (20 cm) long. The cord is 91 inches(227 cm) long.
