Up for sale, TWO VINTAGE UNUSED JAPANESE OR CHINESE MULTI-PANEL GOLDLEAF PAINTING SCREENS IN ORIGINAL BOX

These fabulous six-panel folding screens were presumably made forpainting or writing but are clearly unused. Beautiful gold leaf on inside ofpanel and attractive paper backing. Lacquered edges and metal corner posts and thumbpieces suggest these are quality items. Manufacturers label on edge of eachone. Screens come in original wooden box.

Screens are in very good condition. Some minor surface marks. Gold leafon spines of panels has come unglued in places. Three edges missing from lid ofwooden box where it has been opened. Original label still on box lid. Seephotos for details.

Panels measure approx. 24” long x 10¼” tall when opened.

Box measures approx. 11” long x 4½” tall x 3¼” wide.

Items come from a smoke free home.
