Two vintage or antique PINS made from carved bovine bone.For Hat or Cloak ?:

Here are two pins,both made in bone and both are hand carved.I am unsure exactly what their use is,possibly as pins to hold a cloak or hat?.

They are clearly vintage pieces.

The longer one measures 4 1/2\" and the smaller measures 3 1/2\" long.They are both hand carved.
