The overall positive and negative scans in this listing are at a low resolution; the details are shown from a higher resolution look at the image. For reference, I\'ve shown the entry for this image in the photographer\'s field log book; the book is not included in the sale. Howard Clinton Tibbitts (1863-1937) was a San Francisco based photographer who spent most of his career working for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He documented the American West, Canada, and Mexico to help promote passenger service. His work was showcased in the railroad\'s Sunset Magazine starting in 1898.
