This Greco Jazzmaster Super Real guitar is extremely rare & is the \"COVER GUITAR\" on the \"Japan Vintage Collection\" guide book 2005 (See next to last photo). I\'ve never seen another one of these 1980 GRECO \"Super Real\" Jazzmaster\'s listed on since I started on in the year 2000 and I look nearly everyday. I did see a 1980\'s Ibanez Jazzmaster (refurbished) before, but it is no where near this guitar in performance & quality. These SUPER REALS are the cream of the crop.
This rare & sought after \"SUPER REAL\" guitar was made by FujiGen Gakki in Nov. 1980 (Serial No. K80----), in the mist of the golden era of Japanese guitar making. A perfect replica of the mid 60\'s custom color Jazzmaster, in candy apple red with matching headstock.
This GEM is all original and in phenomenal condition for being a 36 year-old vintage guitar. There is no buckle rash and no dings on the back of the neck. The candy apple red finish has great sparkle and the guitar just shines. There are a few very small dings here and there not showing through to the wood, except the tiny, tiny spots on the head stock (see pic) and the nickel hardware has aged nicely & naturally. Overall, the guitar presents itself extremely well & was obviously well cared for, for many years. Most any spots you see in the photos are just dust or camera flash, etc.
One of the best things about this Jazzmaster is the neck. It\'s a medium chunky soft V that\'s super comfortable & silky smooth to play.
The guitar sounds wonderful & plays like butter, beautifully. I never touched or needed to adjust the action lower. The action now is low, around 1/8\" or less at the 12th fret and looks to be able to adjust lower and the intonation is spot on. You may want to adjust the action or tweak it to your comfortable playing zone? It has a straight neck with a beautiful rosewood fret board & the frets are in great shape. All electronics work as they should. The tuning machines are Kluson type with Greco Deluxe printed on the back. Nut width is 1-11/16\". Guitar weights 7.8 lbs without the whammy bar on my new bathroom scale. The whammy bar fits loose, you may want to add some tape for a tighter fit? The pickups produce that sound that only Jazzmasters have, nice.
I\'m including a nice used Fender case (paid $75.00) that fits like a glove in pretty nice condition ( some dings here & there) to protect this beauty. I box & pack guitars very well.

How many of these were made during the 18 months or so of the Super Real era? 100? 50? 25?
