I am very excited to be offering for sale this fabulous 4 piece sterling silver set of Unger Brother\'s Love\'s Dream dresser items. This art nouveau repousse set features one of Unger Brothers\' most popular designs, which depicts a cupid angel kissing a nude sleeping Psyche -- the Greek goddess of the soul -- among the clouds. As you can see from the detailed photos, each piece of this set is marked \"Sterling 925 Fine\" and with the Unger Brother\'s figural maker\'s mark. This set includes: 1) a handled mirror measuring approximately 10 1/8;\" 2) a hairbrush measuring approximately 9;\" 3) a large dresser box or powder jarmeasuring approximately 3 1/2\" by 3 1/2\"with cut glass(zippered?)edges and a sterling lid;\" and 4) a pair of glove stretchers measuring approximately 8 3/4.\" Each piece does bear a discreet script monogram, which I believe is MKL or MKJ. While there are a few minor dents here and there, I would say that each piece is in very good condition for its age. That said, I would point out that there is some minor blackening on the mirror, and that the brush makes a bit of a rattling sound if shaken. Even so, the aesthetic value of this great collection is undeniable. It would make a great gift -- either to yourself, or to a special person in your life.
