PLEASE NOTE I HAVE COMPUTER GENERATED TWO BLACK CROSSES ACROSS EACH IMAGE TO DETER ILLEGAL COPYING OF THEM. THEY ARE NOT ACTUALY IN THE IMAGES, AND ALSO ANY COLOURED CIRCLES OR ARROWS I HAVE GENERATED SIMPLY TO POINT THINGS OUT ARE ALSO NOT ACTUALLY IN THE IMAGES.

A very rare if not unique hold to the light Diablerie French Stereoview tissue which I think may be titled \"The medicines of the Devil\" as the French title is on a Flag to the bottom left of each image which I have computer circled in Dark Blue. It reads something like \"LES **DECINES DU DIABLE\" The 2 letters before DECINES(Shown as**) I cant be certain of, but could be \"ME\". There is a small tear through the Flag title in the left image.

It is a most interesting scene, Satan is in bed obviously ill, a skeleton to the rear is stirring a big pot making a medicine potion I presume, and there is a label on this big pot I have computer highlighted in a red circle,which reads something like \" Antimoint du Dretique\" but I am not at all certain of those words. Another skeleton is seated and may be his wife, or a doctor holding a cup of liquid to the devil.

The Skelton standing to the far right is standing by or holding a long instrument in a sheath marked \"APPARIEL DEGAGEMENT\" I think which translates into English as \"Clearance Device \" ?

I have computer circled it in Green.

There is a ghostly faces montage screen or window to the back of the scenecentre as if devils are watching.

Satan is in bed (indicated by my light blue computer generated arrow) lookingwith piercing red eyes,at a horrid looking creature form, like a child with an animals head is by his side .(Indicated by a purple generated purple arrow), it seems as if it is in a green veil, but one can see limbs of its legs through the veil effect.

There is a big black pot on the floor to the mid right with a horrid face form.

Lastly there is a skeleton dressed as a butler to the far left indicated by my computer generated white arrow. I have pointed this butler out because much more of him is visible in the left image than in this the right image. However the very tall golden coloured object to the far right in this image is not present in the left image , indicating the two images may be out of alignment in the card frame. It must be pointed out that the card is beginning to delaminate and needs regluing to secure it and this may be the reason for the miss alignment of the two images in relation to each other.

The card itself is in extremely fine condition, just a tiny scruff to the left of the left image indicated by a small red circle on my first main listing image There are two tiny tears to the image tissue at the very bottom edge of each image indicated by my small blue circles in the main whole view of the card.

This is an absolutely fascinating Antique Stereoview , and I would love to know much more about the scene it depicts and would live to hear if you have any ideas.
