DESCRIPTION: Unkown maker (no ID info on it at all, anywhere) tiny (note the penny in the frame for scale) vintage brass lens, probably from the turn of the 20th century. Optical formula looks to be a pair of symetrical cemented doublets, so 4 elements in two groups. Some decay of the balsam holding the elements together at the edges, might compromise the image a bit, you can see it in the photos. Barrel has provision for waterhouse stops but of course none came with it. Focal length as crudely measured (from mounting flange to an in-focus infinitiy image) is about 8\"/200mm. Image circle looks to cover at least 4x5 but without putting the lens to film it\'s hard to judge, might even cover 5x7.
