A superb quality antique English, solid 9 carat gold (fully hallmarked) slide pencil by famed maker Sampson Mordan. Unusually it has a hook clip section at the top, enabling it to be attached and unattached from a key ring or similar very quickly, using the same slide mechanism that expresses the pencil. It is fitted with a normal pencil and is engraved with the initials \'HAD\' to the barrel.It\'s hallmarked for London 1929, bears the maker\'s marks SM & Co and S Mordan & Co to the slide,and isinexcellent, fully wearablecondition throughout, with no loss or damage. It weighs12.0grams and measures2½inches long. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
