UNUSUAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ENGLISH 18K GOLD 1.1ct DIAMOND BAND RING sz 9¼ c1890:

This unbelievable, beautiful and very unusual Victorian bandring is set with at least 1.1 carats of sparkling white diamonds of varying cuts. Made from fabulously thick and heavy solid 18 carat gold, it has a tapered band set with a double row of twelve sparkling white diamonds of mixed cut - old mine cut, pear cut, cushion cut and irregular. The naturalistic look of the unusual mixed cuts is enhanced by the clean lines of the band and the overall appearance is unusual, oozes quality and is unbelievably sparkly! The diamonds are all of the finest deep cut Victorian quality and although there are a few edge nibbles to one or two stones, it’s in very good condition for its age. It dates from around 1890 and is stamped \'18\' for solid 18 carat gold. It weighs 5.2 grams, its head is 7 mm wide and its ring size is 9 ¼ US / S ½ UK - not easily resized. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
