Up for offer is a very unusual Victorian fireplace andiron inthe shape of a Viking warrior. It measures approximately 20 inches tall by 7inches long by 1 ½ inches wide. I believe it is made of pot metal. Only thefront Viking plate is still present. All of the andiron hardware is missing.Overall the andiron is in good condition. The exterior is quite dirtythroughout, especially on the back side. It could use a good cleaning. Thereare many spots of blue surface discoloration on the front (mainly along thecenter and bottom) that could likely be cleaned with some effort. There arealso some spots of blue discoloration on the bottom of the back side. I don’t seeany cracks, breaks or chips in the exterior body. See pictures for a betteridea of condition.
