This unusual Victorian silver plate novelty inkwell stands 130mm (5\'\') high x 110mm (4.25\'\') across the base and weighs 440 grams. It is unmarked and dates to the late 1800\'s and is in the form of 3 mountain goats on a naturalistic rocky base holding a spherical inkwell with a hinged lid. It is missing its ceramic or glass liner to the inside and does show signs of use with a couple of the nuts to the underside having been replaced.
