The US Army was surprised by the great German Ardennes Offensive in December 1944. Fought in bitter winter conditions, it became better known as \"The Battle of the Bulge\". It was the greatest battle ever fought by the US Army, involving more men than in the entire Pacific Theater. Cold weather items were quickly rushed to the war zone, including the sturdy 4 buckle arctic overshoes. This pair of US Army WW2 BATTLE OF THE BULGE 4 BUCKLE ARCTIC OVERSHOES are high quality MODERN REPRODUCTIONS by the famous What Price Glory. They are in excellent, unused condition, with the second from top right buckle and the second from bottom left buckle unable to close quite all the way, very small spots of whitish soiling at the right instep and the upper right front, the right boot appearing to be slightly taller than the left, and with some light scattered storage wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the overshoes are in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or damage to the tough black neoprene construction. They boast functional darkened metal front buckles, and are marked a Size \"11\" on the diamond checkered black rubber soles, along with their maker, \"WPG\" (What Price Glory).
