THIS IS AN ORIGINAL USARMY 1885REGULATION BEDDING BLANKET. IT IS LIGHT BLUE ALMOST GRAY IN COLOR WITH DARKER BLUE STRIPES3 INCHESWIDE ON EACH END .

THIS IS A FAIRLY CLEAN BLANKET WITH SOME WEAR OF COURSE BUT WITH FEW JUST MINOR HOLES AND ASMALL PERIOD REPAIR WHICH SHOWS IN MY PICTURES.

ANYTHING GOING BACK TO THE INDIAN WAR IS HARD TO FIND BUT THIS MODEL BLANKET IS CERTAINLY SCARCE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY WERE USED UP BY SOLDIERS, CIVILIANS AND AMERICAN INDIANS.

THEY ARE ACOUPLE OFSMALL HOLES HERE AND THERE FROM USE AND WEAR AND PERHAPS MOTHS. THE EDGES AREMOSTLY FRAYED ALL ALONG. THEY ARE A COUPLE OF SMALL PIECES MISSING FROM THE EDGE BUT IT IS NOT DETRACTING.THIS BLANKET IS OVERALL CLEAN WITH A FEWBEIGE STAINSWHICH I HIGHLIGHTED IN MY PICTURES.

IT MEASURES ABOUT 80 INCHES X 69 INCHES.

THISBLANKET WOULD BE CORRECT TO DISPLAY ROLLED UP ON THE CANTLE OF AN 1885 OR 1896 McCLELLAN SADDLE OR WITH OTHER INFANTRY SOLDIER\'S EQUIPMENT OF THE LATE INDIAN WAR PERIOD TO SPANISH AMERICAN WAR.

THIS BLANKET WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT DISPLAY. THE COLORS ARE NICE AND BRIGHT.
