AN ORIGINALINDIAN WAR ERA WATERING BIT AND BLACK LEATHER REIN.

THIS IS THE MODEL 1885. THIS SET IS WELL USED. THE LEATHER IS DRYBUT NOT FRAGILE TO HANDLE. THE REIN IS SEWN IN THE MIDDLE. WHILE TAKING PICTURES OF THISITEM I NOTED A REPAIR THAT I HAD NOT NOTICED BEFORE. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE LAST PICTURE.IT IS WELL DONE AND NOT NOTICEABLE.

MOST OF THE LEATHER IS SHOWING MUCH CRAZING. THE BIT IS SHOWING FIELD USE BUT IS SOLID. THE METAL SNAPS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN USED TO FASTEN THE BIT TO THE HEADSTALL ARE MISSING.
