What a very pretty and RARE Louis to see! Absolutely Authentic, as always...and made more special as it was manufactured in the USA! Vintage classic Louis, and once described in a Saks Fifth Avenue catalog.....\"An Oval Tote of Many Uses.....For shopping, sunbathing on the beach, gathering souvenirs, or merely as a very spacious handbag!\" Perfect description of a pretty bag that will be wonderful at multi-tasking for you! Authentic, as always, and wearing it\'s French Company Tyvek tag inside - pictured. A bit of fun history - During the 1970\'s through the 1990\'s, Louis Vuitton collaborated with a luxury American Luggage company - French Company of California - in order to keep pace with the high demand for LV products in the U.S.A. The pieces are absolutely authentic LV - some were even private labeled, others not. Pieces were available through luxury retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, I. Magnin etc....as well as several high end luggage boutiques. Feel free to research these very rare and sought after pieces!!! They are a treat to find and carry...and highly sought after due to their limited time of production. Long discontinued and not available at the LV boutiques....no one else will have YOUR HANDBAG and that\'s a nice feeling. Just a great bag for year around - looks just beautiful with the fabrics and colors of the season. This beauty has spent it\'s lifetime of late on a closet shelf... ready to be seen out and about with YOU! Holds a generous amount without becoming too cumbersome! Monogram looks nice -vivid and crisp...structured feel. The leathers FC used was tanned - more polishable than the Vachetta leathers LV uses today. A very few slight scuffs and rubs...nothing major or objectionable. The bottom edges have a bit darker appearance! Interior is a single large compartment with a zip pocket on one wall! Appropriate Talon zip on that pocket. Roomy and clean brown textile lining! Odor free. Stitching good...some loose or missing around the top edge - no function lost at all. Adjustable straps....strong with some wear where they hit your shoulder. Drop is 8\" and it sits snugly under your arm. Brass feet protect the bottom...slight scuffing on one side from closet shuffle! Measures 10\" x 9\" x 6\" approximately - and this is the smaller of the 2 sizes French Company produced in this style. This is a classically GORGEOUS vintage Louis!
